Motocross helmets are becoming more and more popular on our trail systems each year. As a result, like most things in our favourite sport, products evolve as markets increase. We have a lot more options for goggles that are suited to our high speed and cold environment, rather than a converted MX or ski goggle.
After having dominated the CSRA for the entire season, the Royal
team of Dave Joanis and Lee Butler went into the final weekend ready to
get down to business, yet the mood surrounding the team was light.
Everyone was excited to be at the Craighurst resort and try and collect

A surprise snowfall Friday night gave the race track the perfect finishing touches for Craighurst’s record number of competitors, 665 in total making for a full weekend of racing. Although Saturday’s winds and blowing snow weren’t quite ideal, the mild temperatures and sunshine on Sunday made up for it, setting the stage for a great day of racing and year-end points battles. A record high number of spectators crowded the stands and weren’t let down as competitors put everything on the line for the final event of the season.

Arctic Cat Goes Full Circle As Racing Roots Return
While not necessarily long, it has been a strange trip for the Arctic Cat faithful, and the Thief River Falls, Minnesota manufacturer. As consumer sales continued to thin industry wide, enthusiasts who remained saw a constant bombardment of new iron from the big four, all in an effort to capture the attention and inevitably sales to those dedicated snowmobilers who looked to the sky and chanted, “Just wait ‘till next year.”
For the past 7 years, the kids from the Canadian sled maker to the north have had their proverbial right foot firmly planted on the go pedal. As the Rev platform completely changed the game, followed by an all out assault on weight reduction, Ski-Doo has made more than a subtle dent on the make-up of modern day snowmobiles. In short they have proclaimed themselves as trail boss, and left others to fight for position in their snow dust wake.
As we ride into Spring, it feels like we enjoyed somewhat of a good year. Not wanting to leave you on a bad note, with another snowy season ending, but rather, give you something to think about over the summer. Where did our snow go? The 08/09 winter truly lived up to the prediction of record snowfall across Canada, one of the best we’ve seen in some parts in over 15 years!
MEDINA, MN (March 31, 2009) – Polaris snowmobiles not only deliver Terrain Dominating Control, in the hands of high-flying extreme rider Paul Thacker, they deliver world-record flight capability.
